Before applying for this position, you must be willing to travel/relocate. This is a temporary 5-6 month estimated job.
Job Purpose: To provide on-site coordination for all phases of commercial construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
Communicate with project team regarding ASI's, RFI"s, and Material Submittals.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with all rules and regulations.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdiction.
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with OSHA standards.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
Maintain daily log and photos of activities on the job-site.
Ensure subcontractors correct all deficiencies, identified by a project team, in a timely manner.
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors. to subcontractors in regards to quality work or scheduling. +
Ensure that that job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Assisting in budget, bidding, permits, and approval of revisions.
Gather project materials submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job site.
Opening the job-site at the beginning of the day, and ensuring the job site is secure before leaving.
Assist in hiring sub-tier employees
Must be able to travel, have a clean driving record, and be able to pass a background check.
Provide direction to and resolve problems for subcontractors and vendors.
Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
Must be proficient in reading blueprints.
Physically able to life 100lbs.
Monitoring job-site general health and safety.
Customer service-Manage difficult or emotional situations.
Interpersonal skills, successfully focus on solving conflict, maintain confidentially, listen to others without interrupting.
Proven written and oral communication skills.
Dependability- follow instruction, respond to management direction. Completes tasks on-time and notify appropriate parties.
