Position: Commercial Interior Design Intern – Full Time or Part Time will be considered. Part Time hours are flexible to accommodate school schedule.
Job Purpose: You will be responsible for assisting the Designers on projects.
Job Duties:
· Conceptual design plans
· Drafting, selecting materials and furnishings, and all phases of the design process
· Sample and material acquisition
· Organize and maintain client files and sample library
· Correspond with clients, showrooms, and vendors
· Create/maintain presentation boards
· Work directly with clients and contractors on job sites, including supervision of deliveries, and measuring spaces
· Errands, pricing, computer entry, shopping
Skills/Qualifications:
· Completed or working towards a Degree in interior design/architecture
· Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle. A car is required, as is the flexibility to travel to jobsites, etc.
· Ambitious, organized, and detail-oriented
· Responsible, trustworthy, and prompt
· Able to multi-task between multiple projects is essential
· Able to help identify and work within the lead designers vision
· Proficient in AutoCAD (Chief Architect), Sketch-up, and Photoshop
· Capable of completing tasks without supervision
· Strong communication and written skills
Compensation: Hourly.
